Brilliant inventions that Come to nothing
The creators of Inventors Showcase, Dawn Sargent and Kern Jones, started a business partnership in 1998 when they entered the highly competetive field of training. A brave or very stupid decision when you consider how many training companies and colleges there are, offering the same services they intended to offer! However, their company went from strength to strength because they challenged the traditional methods and brought a new innovative approach to the sector. These methods are now emulated by many others, but they continue to stay one step ahead, because they built a company with a culture of innovation!
With the intention of expanding their business interests, they looked for a new challenge. Preferably in a sector that needed pepping up! In an industry that does things the way it has always done things, but was never too successful in the first place! That industry is Invention Promotion!
Let's face it, how successful has it been in the past? There are more stories of Invention Promotion company rip-offs than Invention Promotion company successes!!
So they identified that there are many people with some notable, seemingly brilliant inventions that come to nothing. A perfect scenario for them to excercise their innovation skills, helping innovators!
The idea of 'Inventors Showcase' was born and over the following months a huge amount of research was carried out and of course they found out what you already know, there is a huge failure rate for inventors. You can have the most technically brilliant idea in the world, but it's useless if you can't get people to look at it!
We were confident we could open doors, open eyes and open up whole new marketing opportunities by employing new innovative methods. By working differently to other Invention Promotion companies!
In fact, so certain were we, that we set up Inventors Showcase at considerable personal expense, with the promise that we only earn money off our results - NOT off the inventor. How confident is that ?

Perceived Success
As we have all witnessed on the 'Dragons Den' (BBC2), the success or failure of an invention is not necessarily it's technical brilliance or otherwise, but how well it is presented and the perceived success of the idea in the open marketplace.
In fact there often seems there are many more reasons not to adopt an idea, than to go ahead and give it a try. Why? - simple it's cost, and the fact that inventors are often asking investors to put money into an idea they think will sell, but not for sure!
